Abstract

This study examines the role of digital transformation technologies—specifically automated fare collection, real-time vehicle tracking, and predictive maintenance algorithms—in enhancing urban transit efficiency. Analyzing operational data across three metropolitan transit systems over a 24-month period, the findings indicate a 14% reduction in schedule variance and an 8% decrease in maintenance downtime. These results highlight the efficacy of data-driven infrastructure in optimizing public transport networks.
